Terms of Service
Welcome to Val. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Val application and associated services ("Service") provided by Project Val ("we", "us", or "our").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. User Accounts
You are required to create an account using a valid phone number and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected breach.
4. Integrations and Permissions
You may authorize Val to access third-party services (e.g., Gmail, Google Calendar) via OAuth. You are responsible for managing these permissions. Revocation or expiration of third-party access may limit Val's capabilities.
5. Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Service; (b) interfere with its security or functionality; or (c) use it in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
6. User Data and Privacy
Val uses end-to-end encryption to protect user data. You retain ownership of your data. We do not share personal data with third parties except as required to operate the Service or as legally obligated. Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
7. Service Availability
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any disruption or loss resulting from such changes.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to all integrations and services will cease, and we may delete associated data as outlined in our data-retention policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss or service unavailability. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) for use of the Service.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms at our discretion. If we make material changes, we will notify you. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. All disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
